Donation & Refund Policy

1. About Al Amal e.V.

Al Amal e.V. is a registered German non-profit association (eingetragener Verein) registered at Amtsgericht Schweinfurt under VR 200849. Our registered address is Schweizer Straße 68, 97526 Sennfeld, Germany. All donations are used exclusively for humanitarian purposes as described in our statutes.

2. Nature of Donations

All donations to Al Amal e.V. are voluntary charitable contributions. Donations are used for general humanitarian relief, water well drilling, educational support, and orphan care — primarily in Uganda. Al Amal e.V. does not guarantee that a specific donation will be used for a specific project unless explicitly agreed in writing. Donations are non-commercial charitable gifts and are not payments for goods or services.

3. Payment Processing

Donations are processed securely through our payment provider. We accept major credit and debit cards. All transactions are encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS technology. Al Amal e.V. does not store full payment card details.

4. Donation Receipts

Upon successful donation, you will receive an email confirmation. For donations of €200 or more, or upon request, we can provide a formal donation receipt (Zuwendungsbestätigung) for German tax purposes. Please contact [email protected] to request a receipt.

5. Refund Policy

As a charitable organisation, we generally do not offer refunds on donations once processed, as funds are committed to humanitarian programmes. However, we will consider refund requests for duplicate transactions caused by technical error, unauthorised transactions made fraudulently, or significant errors in donation amount made within 14 days of the transaction. To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of the transaction, providing your name, email address, donation amount, and date. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

6. Monthly / Recurring Donations

If you set up a recurring monthly donation, you may cancel at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Cancellations will take effect before the next scheduled payment. Payments already processed before cancellation are non-refundable except under the circumstances described in Section 5.

7. Use of Funds

Al Amal e.V. commits to using at least 82% of all donated funds directly for programme costs. Administrative and operational costs are kept to a minimum. Full financial breakdowns are published in our annual reports, available upon request.
